Alright people.
THIS Saturday's my 18th birthday, so we're gonna go camping on the beach beside my house!

It's a private beach so we can basically make all the noise we want, have all the substances we want, and do anything without being bothered by cops/asshole neighbors. So everyone should definitely come.

The beach is at the end of my road, James River Drive, in Carrollton, VA (23314). Mapquest it or ask me for directions. My address is: 22543 James River Drive, Carrollton, VA 23314. Call if you need help 757-434-7444 or 757-254-2966.

Everyone should get there at 8PM -- you don't really need to bring anything, but feel free to bring vegan food (only) and BYOB/substances but everyone's welcome so invite all your friends!

Let me know if you plan to come or need more information!

:favorite bands/type of music: too many to list really, blood for blood, bright eyes, i like everything.

:last show you attended: Municipal Waste last night at AlleyKatz

:When did you start going to shows?: when I was around 14 years old and me and my friend would lie and say we were going to a late movie at the mall and then walk to Buster's, this little shady ass bar in Colonial heights where local bands played.

:Why do you like to dance/mosh? How long have you been doing it?:
I like to do it because it's fun, I like getting the shit beat out of me and just being rough, i've never been a girly girl, i've always liked playing in the dirt, falling off of high things and picking my nose.

I've been "punk" moshing since i was about 15 and hardcore dancing/two stepping/god i dont even know what to fucking call it since last year.

:tell us a funny story about something that happened to you at a show: Im sure im not alone but my hand always manages to slip into some sweaty guys armpit when moshing.
i laugh constantly when im at shows, because everything is funny to me, especially when people get fucked up haha

Okay so i just transferred ownership over to my new name.

People need to be posting pics from shows and pics of them and their friends at shows, i dont care if your moshing or just standing there. lets see some of yalls pretty faces!

I will be making an icon and a promotion banner ASAP.
but if anyone wants to make one of these or both, as well, feel free, just post it here when you're done!

i think that's all for now. get your friends to join. post stories about a show you went to.

just no community promotion!. especially rating communities, you will get banned so quick so don't even try it!
and also, don't go sticking a promotion banner for this community in journals that say no community promotion! lets not give ourselves a bad name.

i think that's all for now. get your friends to join. post stories about a show you went to and all that other fun shit.

New CD by The Fux out now!!

Valiant Death is proud to release the third full length album from The Fux! Straight from Allentown, Pennsylvania the Fux mix 80's punk (like FEAR and early Social Distortion) with '77 style early rock/punk (like Iggy & The Stooges and The Dead Boys) to create a fast, furious, and very loud style all their own. Lyrically many of the Fux tunes focus on life on the run and a life ruined by drug use. The Fux aren't any college age straight edgers though, they're veteran punks that have been touring around the U.S. and Europe since 1997. This album is the next evolution of the Fux and a testament to punk music everywhere.

This third album features 17 new songs, over 50 minutes of music. In terms of style the Fux are umistakable but the sounds of their songs vary a great deal. With classic punk anthems like "Fuck Me, Fuck You" and "Bitch" mixed in with furiously played songs about a hard life of love, drugs, and loss like "The Fall" and "Dope" and all kinds of other styles. The Fux can play both hilarious and heart felt songs, three chord riffs and 6 minute songs full of changes and solos and breakdowns. The Fux have played for years for crowds of 5 and 500, and their energy and creativity has done nothing but grow, and "I'm On TV" is most certainly the culmination of all of their hard work and growth as musicians and people. So, if you're into real, honest, and fun punk music, check out this awesome album by the Fux!!

The Zine Recycling Center (ZRC) is a unique kind of zine distributor that relies not on the exchange of money, but on the exchange of ideas. This is a zine-trading distributor. Zinesters can trade issues of their zine for the works of other trade-hungry zine makers while zine readers can trade in old zines for new ones. At the ZRC, the grab-bag is god.

i used to be punkfaerie1303 but i got a new name after 3 years...got sick of the old one...

i haven't been to a punk show in months. ever since i broke up with Charles i have no transportation to go see anything but metal and hardcore, which isn't bad, but i get bored standing to the side.

and the fact that my boyfriend is in This Present Darkness means i get to attend alot of their shows. they're metal i guess. man thats bad i dont even know what they are hahaha...you can dance/mosh to it so there ya go.

they're a good band and pretty popular around Richmond, Virrginia and tend to play shows in NC and va beach so if you see them on a flyer go check them out.

this was pretty pointless. i guess just saying hello.

O M G! this is like the best community ever! ahahah! i love it! I, myself, am a female, and i love to go to shows and danse. I may not be a pro but practice makes perfect... no ones gets int he pit and throwsdown 100 at first. Its kinda funny like, going to different shows and see when and where i can actually dance. For example.... snow patrol show = not so much dansing... From autumn to ashes = get the fuck outta my way im tearing this shit up! ahahah!

here is a little bit about me...

1. my name is jenna
2. i am nineteen
3. i live in New Jersey
4. my hobbies include being with my friends, going to shows, art - visual and fine arts, diners, dansing, my hair, poetry, shoes, my computer, myspace.com, and other things.

so if anyone wants to add me... feel free.... have a great day everyone and thank you again for creating such a rad community for chicks with spinkicks! giiirrrlll~ thats my motto!

And also, I have a question: for those girls who maybe aren't real tall (or, you know, just plain short) and who mosh, have you noticed that everyone's elbow lands on your face? Every show I go to I get smashed in the nose and teeth.
